ARMATURE HOT-STAKING (FUSING) MACHINE

AHS/XL-90     AHSD/XL-90

 

DESCRIPTION

The Model AHS/XL-90 and AHS/XL-90 are the latest additions to our “XL” series of machines.  They incorporate the latest technology for hot-staking (fusing) the insulated magnet wire leads for the armature coils to the commutator segments.  These machines can accommodate tang (hook) or slotted-type commutators.

All of Micafil’s “XL” concepts are available for these machines, i.e. modular design, standardized controls, diagnostics, field bus I/O, quick change tooling, etc.  Please see features and options columns for complete listings.

Our Model AHS/XL-90 utilizes an AC power source and can be equipped with a variety of fusing actuation heads and control systems for point of ignition and monitoring.

The Model AHSD/XL-90 incorporates a DC power source using high frequency GTR inverter technology.  The closed loop control and monitoring capabilities of this system coupled with our new “XL” fusing head with separated fusing and ground electrode actuators, pressure differential sensing for heat cycle ignition and optional linear position transducer of the electrode allows for precision control of the hot-staking (fusing) process.

Both the AHS and AHSD machines are available in single and doubl3-headed configuration, arranged for manual or automatic load/unload from a chain or pallet-type transfer.

 Based upon a single-headed unit on a typical 12 slot, 12 bar tang armature allowing 3 seconds load/unload time.
