DESCRIPTION
The MSL-14 and MSL-16 Series
semi-automatic machines are designed to assemble armature
laminations, shafts and where required the end insulators to form
armature cores. These machines are arranged so that the lamination
selection, measure and shaft press are completely automatic
operations. The loading of the shaft, unloading of the finished
part, lamination stack height correction and loading end insulators
are operator performed functions.
Should double insulated
tubes be required, these can be handled in either a fully automatic
or semi-automatic fashion.
Skewing of the lamination
stacks is accomplished using an adjustable angle alignment key in
the lamination transfer car nest that is set to the correct angular
position prior to shaft or tube insertion.
Both the MSL-14 and the
MSL-16 can be equipped with various options; however, the MSL-16
machine can be arranged with a more powerful hydraulic press system
making it capable of handling larger diameter shafts or cores
requiring ring staking of the laminations to the shafts.
